Our Nursery...
The nursery environment plays a key role in supporting and extending children's development and learning. The commitments are focused around observation, assessment, and the wider context - transitions, continuity, and multi-agency working.
Our learning environment aims to meet all children's individual needs, interests and ages/stages of development. Providing all children with enjoyable and challenging experiences, encouraging confidence and independence.
We believe children learn best from first hand child initiated experiences and activities.
Our environment and routine allows for this by providing a workshop approach in which resources are made available at child level to encourage children to make independent choices to support their own learning.
We also operate a free flow system in which children have access to the outside area moving freely from indoors to outdoors and back again. During this time practitioners play alongside the children to support them in developing their skills and extending their learning.
