Our team...

People are key to our success, YOU, YOUR CHILD and OUR TEAM. To make sure that we provide the very best care for your children, we have developed a recruitment process, which helps us to select the right people, with the right skills, experience and attitude.

In our nursery we have a close link with the school’s Early Years department and the Head teacher of Elm Grove First School, to further enhance the quality and education the children receive.

  • All staff have received CRB / DBS Enhanced Disclosures.
  • The manager is the designated person for safeguarding children and the SENCO/INCO.
  • At least half of the staff will be trained in Paediatric First Aid.
  • The staff to child ratio is maintained at 1:4 for 2 year olds, 1:8 for children aged 3 to school age; as OFSTED guidelines state.
  • All staff qualifications will be displayed within the nursery.

Apprentices:

Little Elms and The Childcare Club fully support the Apprenticeship Programme.  We believe it not only gives apprentices the opportunity to gain a recognised qualification and develop their professional skills but helps the nursery and clubs develop a talented workforce, enhancing the high quality of the provision and to allow our services to be tailored to every child’s individual needs.
